Windsurf: Playa El Yaque is known as one of the 5 best
places in the world to practice this sport. The velocity, direction and consistency of the wind make it possible to practice this sport all the year. The water is shallow and warm. You can navigate with a 4.5 or smaller sail,
temperature 29ºC and water temperature 26ºC. The wind blows all year approximately with 25 knots.
Diving: Margarita offers excellent sites for scuba diving and snorkeling. All of these sites are extraordinarily beautiful with the typical marine life of a reef. Los Frailes and el Farallón in front of Pampatar bay are the locations to practice this sport.
Golf: The afficionates to this sport will find in the installations of Isla Bonita Golf Club a 18 hole course in a spectacular setting. The course is open every day. Offers equipment rental and sale.
Bungee: Is more an exiting fun than a sport. The bungee tower is installed at Playa El Agua in high season.
Horses: Nothing better than Peninsula Macanao to experience an exiting adventure on horse back. Horse-back
riding is also available in Playa Parguito and La Asunción.
Icaros: This is not a permanent activity. You can take off at Cerro El Copey at a 810 m above sea level. The
flight conditions are excellent due to the side-winds.
Jet Ski: The beaches that are offering the best conditons to practice this sport are Punta Arenea, La Galera,
Concorde and Pampatar, where national and international competitions are organized.
Sky Diving: It is very common to sees sky divers jump out of ultralight planes at Playa El Agua. This sport
is reserved to pros, because it requires extensive instructions.
Parasailing: Parasail is a parachute towed by a motor boat that will take you along La Caracola Beach. Enjoy
the impressing view.
Ultra light planes: A ride in a Ultra Light plane is without doubt the most exiting activity you can enjoy
during your visit to Margarita Island.
Surfing: Playa Parguito is de ideal place to practice this sport. Due to the rocky reed that penetrates into
the sea, the currents form strong waves. National and international competitions are organized here permanently.
Sailing: Several companies offer private and exclusive service. Margarita is included in the route of the
South Caribbean Ocean Regata.
